Kathryn Wood NZCSci, CMgt | SSStJohn Founder & Coordinator of Auckland Challenge Kathryn established Auckland Challenge almost 18 years ago to cater for the needs of the Award and its participants in Auckland. Thanks to her vision, thousands of young New Zealanders have successfully achieved their Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Kathryn is passionate at making the Award and the great outdoors accessible for all. As Coordinator Kathryn is responsible for all aspects of Auckland Challenges day to day operations.
Gemma Thompson BSp | NZMSC Outdoor Leader | Outdoor First Aid Cert Expedition Coordinator Gemma has been involved with D of E first as a participant completing Bronze, Silver & Gold. She has been an influential instructor and administrator with ACI since it was established and continues helping the organisation to grow today as Expedition Coordinator. Outside of D of E Gemma achieved her Grand Prior Award through St. John, a bachelor of Sport, has young family and coaches gymnastics. Joanna Stevens BA(German linguistics), GDipTchg, DipChildrensLit, Administrator Joanna is the legend that keeps our formalities, members and staff in order. Her organisational skills are valued by us more than she knows and members often have no idea this instrumental ACI family member exists. Her spare time is kept fully utilised bringing up her two young, bright adventurers and spending time with family. If you're ever on the phone to Jo; don't forget to thank her for us all.
